Puzzles

Maddy's newest organizing game is to dump all 2o or 30 of her puzzles in a big pile and then carefully and methodically sort them out again one by one. Then she takes her OCD to a new level by lining up all her completed puzzles in a big long train and prouldy exclaims " I did it!!"

Oktoberfest 2007

Maddy went to her second annual Ofest this past month. She loved the "kindergarten" (as opposed to the beergarten or winegarten) area with all the ponies (both hay and real) and swings and bouncy houses and toddler sized fun to experience. Jason and I of course loved the food (is eating 4 doughboys in two hours a little excessive? Nah.... who cares if I have a ten pound baby, it was worth it!) and running into old friends from that area. Next year maybe we'll have a little boy to put in lee-der-hosen (however you spell that!).

Blackberries

Maddy aced her recent class called "how to tell if a blackberry is ripe or not". After this shot she didn't have to taste the red ones to know that she should toss them aside. Black good. Red bad.

Vegetable of the Week

Maddy's new love is artichokes. We had them for the first time a while back at my friend Megan's house... her sister Kalina was steaming some and we really liked them. Of course, what wouldn't taste good dipped in that much butter??? I love the huge pile of remains that Maddy leaves behind. I am a little surprised that she can actually drag the piece through her teeth and just scrape off the meat and leave the leaf like you are supposed to. I don't know if it is the biting or the fact that it fits in her little hands or just all the butter that appeals to her, but she sure does love artichokes! And corn is fun for her because she can shuck it and then watch it boil and then eat it. She forgets to wait for them to be cooked, so each ear has been poison control tested before they get cooked. Good thing we have her around to keep us safe!

Ready, Set, Sprinkle!

I can't imagine anything more fun than frosting cupcakes in the nude! Well, at least when you are only two years old anyway....

251 one liters of coke, 1,506 mentos and way too much freetime.....

Awesome. Just awesome. I am speechless. I bet these guys were homeschooled and encouraged to explore and create to their hearts content.
