M is for Maddy

here are two of the cutest kids around! i could eat them both up! i am sooooooo lucky that these two are as crazy about each other as they could possibly be. These moments are like lightbulbs: Oh, *this* feeling right here is why people have more than one baby! Its been so fun to see them grow and fall more in love with each other each day.... Maddy has been so receptive to learning new skills to negotiate sibling sharing, etc... she is getting really good at asking for help when Karis is getting into "her stuff" and letting me know what she needs and how she feels.

Maddy wanted so desperately to put her birthday hat on herself, but she ended up looking like a unicorn and finally submitted to a little mama help to get it to stay up.

i slipped out of bed to get some water and this is what i found upon my return. i had to go find my camera to capture this moment....my girls had both snuggled up to my pillow replacement..... awwwwww.... i just love this picture.

I know, I know. Not blogging for a month is totally unacceptable. But trying to download and organize a whole months worth of pictures just became so daunting that it took me a long time to work up the brain power to tackle it.... And it was a great month, too! We had a lot of wonderful adventures wrapping up summer and welcoming fall.... here is a peek. Still to come soon, Maddy's birthday party, our trip to Spokane, yurt camping & the pumpking patch....
