Supergirls!

Last weekend we spent some time with Jason's family in Mt. Angel. His sister was up from Medford with her girls and they spent most of the night flying around the house saving the world as supergirls! It was wild, sweaty, loud fun for all....

Abby is 3, Maddy is 2 and Suzanne is 18 months... all about a year apart with Karis the youngest at 3 months now... 4 girl cousins all in a row is so wonderful! As much as i'd like a boy next (no, I am not pregnant, just down the road a ways), I kind of hate to mess up the girl power streak we have going on....

Green Baby

This is my absolute favorite outfit ever... it is from the dandelion wishes line from Gymboree and I got it for only $5 at a consignment store (Milagros) , Maddy has the same outfit in size 2T, but wasn't interested in wearing hers today. There go my plans to be nauseatingly cute with my girls.... anyway, I have been looking forward to Karis getting into this size clothing from Maddy's stash.... when Maddy saw her this morning she proclaimed "Oh, Green Baby". It was super cute, maybe you had to be there.... at her 3 month check yesterday she weighed in the 90th percentile, 75th for height. This girl doesn't miss a meal, that's for sure!

Art

Maddy has moved on from her obsession with glitter to using popsicle sticks and pipecleaners, always accompanied by massive amounts of glue....

and don't you love the wild after-nap sweaty bedhed hair? and the super cute pooh jumper that is now too small just one week later.... why does she have to keep growing?? can't they just stay babies forever?

11 weeks (almost THREE months!)

i really do spend most of my time trying not to chew on her, she is just so deliciously chunky and fabulous..... i think she is really truly made out of sugar and whipped cream

sleepy girls

I am so in love with their pajama bottomed sleepiness.... I can't wait for this summer when I can get them in just diapers and nothing else all snuggled up.....

No Cavities

Maddy had her first dentist appointment this morning and she has no cavities! In fact, the dentist said her teeth are perfect and beautiful. I was a little nervous because I've always felt that she didn't brush long enough, well enough, etc. but I never wanted to pin her down and struggle and turn it into a big power trip. I want her experience with brushing and also visiting the dentist to be very positive, so far so good! The dentist and his staff were super helpful and very in tune with her level of comfort as they went along. She got a tour, got to play with the gerbils, got to squirt the water gun and then suck up the puddles, look at all the instruments, and basically get used to the idea of the dentist. They were able to get a quick peek inside her mouth, enough to count the teeth and check them over, but it was a no go with cleaning or flouride today, but we got a lot farther than I had hoped we would. I would be terrified if some stranger wanted to put a bunch of metal instruments in my mouth seconds after we met.... she did really well. We have another appt in six months and she will be almost 3 (THREE!!!) then so since the first visit was so positive, she might trust them enough for the whole shebang.

(I know, I know, it is completely unacceptable to post with no pictures of the girls, but I just cant seem to find the camera when they are being cute or willing to submit to photographs. Plus we have all been sick as sick can be and nobody wants evidence of that, believe me, it has not been pretty.)
